Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Polder Digital Add'N'Weigh 11-Pound Kitchen Scale, WhiteCustomer Review: Died after a few months Summary: 1 Stars
I also purchased this product thinking it'd be a great low-priced scale. I consider myself to be gentle on my kitchen appliances and though I use it once a day or once every other day, I expect it to last more than a few months. I changed the battery, re-checked the connection, and it's shot. I was always skeptical about its accuracy but now it's just dead. I'd recommend other brands unless you want to have to replace yours in less than a year.
Description of Polder Digital Add'N'Weigh 11-Pound Kitchen Scale, WhiteFor the serious baker or confectioner, the most precise food measurements are always by weight, not volume. Polder?s exceptionally accurate kitchen scale measures weight in increments as small as 1/8 of an ounce or one gram, without regard to the coarseness of an ingredient or how tightly it has been packed. Because it?s digital, there?s no eyeballing or estimating necessary. This precision also comes in handy for dieters, serious cooks who wish to convert from European recipes, or anyone who wants to know exactly how much of a food they are eating or preparing. The scale?s sleek, simple design features an orb-like measuring platform seamlessly integrated with the display and controls. A button allows users to choose metric or imperial (pounds/ounces) measurements. The large platform holds mixing bowls or containers, while pushing the ?tare? option on the on/off control zeroes out their weight. The ?add?n?weigh? function lets users continue to add ingredients to a bowl while the scale measures the progressive changes in weight. Its 11-pound/5-kilogram capacity suits almost anything you could wish to weigh in a typical household kitchen. Batteries are not included. --Mary Park
